GEO audit & optimization · AI visibility Find out what AI says about your company, and who it cites instead of you.

On the questions your customers actually ask, we query Google AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini: are you cited, in what position, with which facts, and which competitors show up when you don't. You get the dated record and the fixes to make.

A growing share of searches no longer ends in a list of links. The engine reads, summarises, cites a few sources and recommends. If your company is not in that answer, it does not exist for that client - even if you rank first on the classic search. That is what Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) is about: being cited, with accurate facts, in the answer itself.

Sound familiar?

Search changed shape, without telling anyone.

You have never checked what an AI answers when someone describes your trade to it.

Your classic rankings hold, but inbound enquiries are thinning out.

A prospect quotes something about you that is wrong, or years out of date.

You see competitors recommended in AI answers, without knowing why.

What you receive

Where you stand, and the optimization plan to change it.

We question the generative engines the way your client would, across a question set representative of your trade. We record what is said about you, who is cited instead, and what explains the gap. You receive a dated, sourced report and actions ranked by impact.

Your citation share

which questions you appear on, and in what position.

What the AI says about you

accuracy, tone, missing or incorrect information.

Who is cited instead

the competitors recommended, and on which arguments.

What we analyse

What decides whether you appear in a generated answer.

Presence in AI answers

Across a set of real questions: whether your brand appears, in what context, and how often.

Accuracy of representation

What the engine states about your offering, your areas, your prices: what is right, what is stale, what is missing.

Competitors cited

Who the engine recommends instead of you, on which questions, and the arguments it credits them with.

Sources relied on

The pages and sites the engine draws on to answer - yours, your competitors', and third parties.

Authority signals

What makes a source citable: consistent information, mentions, reviews, presence in directories and public records.

Technical legibility

Structure, structured data, access for generative-engine crawlers, and the clarity of the pages carrying your offer.

How it works

From the question asked to the action plan.

01

We scope

Your offering, your areas, your competitors, and the questions your client actually asks.

02

We ask

The generative engines are queried across that set, repeatedly, and the answers are kept and dated.

03

We analyse

Citations, accuracy, sources and competitors are recorded and compared, question by question.

04

We deliver

A readable report, the findings sourced, and optimization recommendations ranked by impact.

Frequently asked questions

Your questions, answered.

What is GEO (Generative Engine Optimization)?

GEO, also called SEG or AEO, is the optimisation of your presence in the answers of generative engines such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Mode, as well as agents that search the web for their users, such as Claude Code and Codex. Where SEO aims for a position in a list of links, GEO aims to be cited and recommended in the answer itself, with accurate information about your company.

What are Google AI Overviews and how do I appear in them?

AI Overviews are the AI-generated summaries Google shows at the top of some results pages, above the classic links. They cite only a few sources: being one of them gives you visibility even without a click, being absent leaves the spot to a competitor. The B&Y Beyond GEO audit records which of your customers' searches trigger an AI Overview, which sources it cites and what your pages lack to be included.

How do I know if my company appears in ChatGPT's answers?

You need to ask the engines the questions your customers really ask, several times and over a representative set, because answers vary. That is what the B&Y Beyond GEO audit does on Google AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini: every answer is stored and dated, then analysed question by question.

What does a B&Y Beyond GEO audit measure?

The B&Y Beyond GEO audit measures your share of citation (which questions you appear on, and in what position), the accuracy of what AI says about your offer, areas and prices, the competitors recommended instead of you, the sources the engine relies on, and how readable your pages are for generative engine crawlers.

After the GEO audit, does B&Y Beyond provide recommendations and position tracking?

Yes. The B&Y Beyond GEO audit ends with concrete recommendations ranked by impact: content to create or fix, information to align, sources to invest in, technical settings. B&Y Beyond can then track your position in AI engine answers and in Google AI Overviews, on the same set of questions and at regular intervals, to measure the effect of the actions and spot a competitor taking your place.

Why does AI recommend a competitor and not my company?

Generative engines cite sources they consider reliable and consistent: identical information across sites, mentions and reviews, presence in directories and public databases, clear and well-structured pages. The B&Y Beyond GEO audit identifies the sources used for your competitors and the signals you are missing, then ranks the fixes by impact.

What is the difference between an SEO audit and a GEO audit?

An SEO audit measures your position in Google's list of results. A GEO audit measures whether generative engines cite you in their answer, and what they say about you. A good Google ranking does not guarantee an AI citation. B&Y Beyond offers both, separately or together within the CIM offer.

What GEO results has B&Y Beyond achieved?

For Leman Conciergerie, already number one on its key queries in AI engine answers, B&Y Beyond tracks those positions and guides the actions that keep them. For Techmo Hygiène, absent from generated answers at the start, B&Y Beyond built a guided action plan, ranked by impact, to enter AI engine results.
